The Challenge

A major retailer needed to migrate their aging e-commerce platform to WordPress while maintaining enterprise-grade security standards and improving performance metrics across the board.

The existing system suffered from slow load times (3s+ TTFB), frequent security vulnerabilities, and couldn’t handle traffic spikes during sales events. The company also needed PCI compliance and SOC 2 Type II readiness.

Our Approach

Architecture Design
Built a custom WooCommerce solution with headless capabilities, Redis object caching, and Cloudflare CDN integration. Implemented auto-scaling infrastructure on AWS with load balancing.
Security Hardening
Deployed WAF with custom rule sets, implemented least-privilege access controls, enforced 2FA for all admin users, and established automated security scanning in CI/CD pipeline.
Performance Optimization
Optimized Core Web Vitals through lazy loading, image optimization pipeline, critical CSS extraction, and database query optimization. Achieved sub-200ms TTFB globally.
